Why is it that if one critiques the apartheid state of Israel, one is instantly labeled anti-semitic & out of order? Back in the day, Nelson Mandela was considered a terrorist and anyone who supported him and the ANC were labeled sympathizers of the enemies of the state of South Africa. Who do you think sets up these parameters of thought? You guessed it......
So as Palestinians get crushed on a daily basis, we have been given a narrative that they (Palestinians) are the terrorists for daring to fight back against the heavy-handed, barbaric onslaught. There is no one in the mainstream media who has the courage to tell the truth which is way more complicated than the "Us vs Them" bullshit we've been forced to swallow for quite some time. Dare to think outside the box and understand what is really going on.
Everyone loves to think of Jesus as the Prince of Peace. But what is forgotten is the fact that Jesus was also a rebel who saw the evil/babarity of the Roman Empire and sought to fight against at the cost of his own life. This is what is required: to stare the (D)Evil in the face and utterly rebuke it! To do otherwise makes us accomplices to the very thing we despise.
Let me be clear: there are many courageous and progressive folks in Israel who fight against the misdeeds of their own government, so do not think that this is an attack on Israel as a whole. It is those in power who are to be judged for what they are doing to destabilize & darken the world.
