A respected scholar of Jewish law, Fraenkel has met and grieved with the family of murdered Palestinian teen Mohammed Abu Khdeir - and they with her, now, simply, all members of "two families that have lost their sons” - and swiftly released several statements of outrage and condolence when Mohammed's burned body was found.
