Wind..... & Fire".....When I was a teenager, just saying those words gave me chills as I mocked being a DJ announcing the entrance of Earth, Wind & Fire to a craving audience awaiting a funked-up lift-off from their mundane reality. This group stands alone--very few bands compare to the magical blend of jazz, funk, soul, African polyrhythms, rock, disco and gospel that they stirred up with such style, energy, imagination and mastery. One of the qualities of timeless music is the freshness of the sound regardless of time and space.
