One of my favorite public intellectuals, Chris Hedges, discusses the teaching of history as a form of indoctrination with Professor James W. Loewen.
Dr. Loewen’s book, Lies My Teacher Told Me: Everything Your American History Textbook Got Wrong. is a MUST-READ & highly recommended for our young. Way too many folks running around this land without a clue so it’s our collective duty for those of us who know better to assist the next generation by introducing them to well-researched scholarship like this.
