After reading my daily dose of today's news, I couldn't help but feel that without a sense of connection to family, friends, neighborhood, etc, one could easily slip into a profound state of hopelessness. I'm reading Bertrand Russell's "The Conquest of Happiness" which is an excellent primer for intellectual regeneration. Although written in 1930, the insights are timeless. Check it out!
