I once read somewhere that human beings are the worst thing that has ever happened to planet Earth. I don't take such an extreme view, but you have to admit that collectively, we have trashed the place. Yesterday it was reported that the world's oceans are facing an extinction crisis as the result of our negligence, greed & ignorance. A preliminary report from an international panel of marine experts said that the condition of the world's seas was worsening more quickly than had been predicted.
