"Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes ... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. ... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things. ... They push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do."
~Steve Jobs
We lost another great mind--RIP. Outside of the very interesting genesis of developing Apple Inc. from the humble beginnings of his parents garage to becoming the most valuable company in the world, Steve Jobs' personal history is also quite intriguing:
- His biological father was an Arab Muslim from Syria & his adopted parents were Armenian immigrants who came to the US from Turkey.
- In 1974, he worked as a technician for Atari with the sole intent of saving enough money to go to India for a spiritual retreat. He returned to the US as a Buddhist with a shaved head & experimented with LSD which he described as "one of the two or three most important things he had done in his life".
- He was a pescetarian, one whose diet includes fish but no other meat.
- Think different - This mantra pretty much defined the man
